Hot Brown Surprise is a cards game developed in collaboration between Solis Game Studio and Brieger Creative. The game was created to celebrate the delicious Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwich during the 2026 GAMA tabletop game show.

My role as the sole visual designer on the team was to take a wireframe-quality prototype of the Hot Brown Surprise card game and complete all visual and UI elements, including character/prop illustrations, card UI layout and graphic elements.

This game was developed to celebrate the Louisville, Kentucky GAMA’s 2026 show, and the city’s culinary delight, the Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwich.

Each pack of Hot Brown Surprise contains 11 ingredient cards- including 2 unique Surprise ingredients to spice up the gameplay. Each card has a unique effect that will be resolved when the sandwich is complete. These effects cause players to draw, discard and swap their remaining in-hand ingredient card. The player who has the highest scored ingredient by the end of this chaos wins the game!

As a promotional item for GAMA 2026, I also illustrated a T-shirt with, front and back, and provided the Spot-Color print file with a color count of 8.
